It all comes down to this…
Welcome to our web series “Paso Harvest Films” which chronicles this year’s grape harvest in Central California’s Paso Robles’ wine country. These films are for the sheer fun and celebration of harvest and to encourage visitors to come experience this unique region. We will focus on the unique personalities of at least a dozen of our winemakers and vineyards, but there are more than 200 to explore.
The harvest season is exhausting and filled with anticipation for winemakers and grape growers. When you consider how hard they work all year, doing the best they can with their resources, but still relying on Mother Nature, you understand the significance and importance of each precious vintage.
The first mini-film in the series follows winemaker and record producer/engineer Dennis Degher at his Domaine Degher Wines vineyard as he supervises the harvest of his the “third leaf”, the first viable year for vines —and was shot on Labor Day Weekend. Next in our lineup will be Clautiere Vineyards, Derby Wines, L’Aventure, Tobin James, Graveyard Vineyards, J. Dusi Wines, Four Vines Winery, Pear Valley Vineyards, Cass Wines and First Crush Winemaking, among others.
We will release new films throughout the harvest season in Paso Robles. For visitor’s information on our area, visit pasowine.com.
